My cute family

Drew is trying to get the fish in grandma's pond

Gotta love them when they are getting along

My beautiful girl.. can't u stay little.

We had our family portraits taken at my mom's the first week in August by an old youth group friend of mine that has gone pro in the picture taking. Katie we love you and had a blast with you. Thanks for all the pics.

I have several other pics I could post but here are a few!

Drew is going to school

Crazy, I know but Drew starts the 2 year old preschool in Hamilton on Tuesday. Today we met the his teacher Mrs. White. She is really sweet and drew was so excited to go to "Kool", that is school in 2 year old language. It is a language I speak other than english. He is familar with the school as his sister also went their as a 2 1/2 year old, 3 year old, 4 year old. Now it's Drew's turn. I will take pics of his first day and blog them ( of course).

Drew is so sweet, I think I will miss him when he's gone.. only from 9-11, but I will. I will maybe get a workout in now! Yeah... Michael Phelps watch out Tara is going to hit the pool on Tuesdays.

Messy Drew!

Yum this is good!

I am doing good at staying clean :)

I use my spoon better than my fork... and I try to do it

Oopps

I am going to try this fork thing until I get some in my tummy!

Spaghetti is a staple at the Campbell house, it's easy, quick and kids will eat it.. that is if it gets to their mouth. Lindsey did the exact same thing that my drew is doing. It's called... stuff it all in your mouth.... and about half hits your mouth and the rest is on your shirt, or in Drew's case his tummy, that is because we are having bib issues with him.

Relaxing Day!

Wow what a great day, first I actually woke up without the alarm. That is amazing, although I woke up early enough to get a workout in, I declined. My goal is to get back into the habit of waking up again and getting to the gym. Not today though.
After Lindsey went to school, I went to Target and had some down time. My mom watched

Drew and I enjoyed my time at Target. I left Target feeling like I should of had Drew, that little boy would of probably made me save money as he is not easy to shop with. We do have a printer now though..... Yeah I can actually print stuff off the computer now.

Great to have the A.C. off, I am almost cold right now with the breeze. Really looking forward to Fall and all the fun festivities. Today makes me want to go get out my fall decorations.. I do know some who have theirs out already. I think I will wait.. because I am having a relaxing day.

Fun at the New Park

I like this slide, it doesn't go too fast, yet you don't stop in the middle of it either. I give it a 10 for slides on the Tara scale!

I am going to get sissy

This is new you bounce on them when you are on them...connected at the ground too!

Didn't plan for them to match.. i just love orange, i even wore it

today.. not trying to match.. realized it when we went to haircuts!!

Drew having fun climbing

The kids and I enjoyed our Saturday morning by going to the park. This was the kids first time playing on this stuff, so now it's called "New Park", great idea. This may be our new place to go for some fun.

1. My wonderful Family (of course)

Mom has survived the first week of Kindergarten

Well It's Friday, I have survived the entire week as a kindergarten mom... and yes, Lindsey has done great also. I think she is ready for the break from school, plus we have time to go visit Grandma and Papa and the puppies of course, a birthday party, hair cuts for Lindsey and Drew. I am bringing a sucker or something for Mr. Drew during this haircut. Lindsey always loves the whole haircut process, the wash, the chair, the cut (that is unless the hairdresser accidentally uses scissors instead of thining shears) THankfully that only happened once. Well back to the hairdresser thing.. I get so off track. She loves at the end when Angie asks if she wants her hair braided and lets her pick out the colors of the rubberbands.

Hoping to relax this weekend, Chad has football football football. I don't. Lindsey is having Morgan over today and I think I am going to start a tradition, that on Fridays friends can come over or she could go somewhere.

Here is our schedule for Fall; Mondays nothing right now, Tuesdays starting in September, dance/tumbling from 5:30-7p.m. Drew has preschool (2year old class 9-11) Then I have P.E.O mtn 2nd Tuesday of the month at 7! Yikes. Wednesdays kids rock at church and I am watching the Ralph kids starting in September. Thursdays library for Drew or Tri-State Women's Connection/ Prayer Breakfast. That leads to Friday, which is Mops at Farris, Il 2nd and 4th friday, and Chief Football games. Lindsey also really wants to play Soccer, so who knows what days those practices are, but she talks about it all the time, plus its a chance to be with all her friends from preschool and time for me to walk with Drew. She has informed me i have to walk I cannot watch her practice or go to the games. That is cracking me up!

I am sure worn out by thinking about all we do, but we also have lots of down time and if things get to much, we won't do them. That's what I love about be the family mangager of our family, we decide and hopefully make wise choices for our family.

My first Chapel

Lindsey was excited to dress up in a dress for her first chapel. All she could remember was her principal Mr. Abbeglan talked and Ms. Dawn did the music. She then told me they all stand up, the entire school. So, there ya have the lowdown on chapel from a five year old. I love that she sometimes really tries to explain her school stuff to me and if I don't know she isn't too descriptive yet she tries to fill me in. I can already see changes in Lindsey because of school. She is really questioning things like " Why do we go to school?" " Why do we need a principal? Is it only for the bad kids?" I have to laugh at that one.

This week, we have worked on her memory verse. Romans 3:23 "All have sinned and come short of the glory of God". Lindsey knows her memory verse and we even made it fun to learn. She really likes to do it saying it in a whisper. I am glad she is learning lots and is excited to tell mom and dad lots of school stuff right before bed to stall and stay up.

My New Workbench

I love to play with my new workbench. I am hoping Drew will learn to fix things unlike his parents! Drew loves to use the drill and hammer the best. Lindsey and I have fun assembling the work basket thing. I have to say I am new to fixing things and had to read/ look at the picture to put it together. Drew is enjoying have one on one time with Mommy while sissy is at school. I often ask drew where sissy is and he usually starts off saying " i do do don't know", then he changes quickly and says "scool" for school. Gotta love 2 year old language! I just love every stage both him and Lindsey are at right now. I think the only thing that makes me sad is that they are growing up!

The New Playground!

Drew likes to say "Boo, I find you" Can't believe how much he talks. Seems like he should still be a baby.
Drew enjoyed the new playground outside Lindsey's school! He had fun running up and down the slide. Of course, his big sister has taught him to walk up the slide instead of taking the stairs to the slide.
Drew is really relaxing on daddy's favorite chair. Cracks me up!! He is watching Elmo movie that kenny and sally got him.

1st Day of Kindergarten

All ready for school

Lindsey at her desk

My big girl

Lindsey started Kindergarten today! She was excited to wear her school bows in her hair and bring her school supplies to her class. She was really okay with me dropping her off. We found her desk in the front row, right next to zach weis and we started to put her stuff in her desk. Lindsey had to ask me, " Mommy, how do I open this?" meaning her desk, it was cute.. guess I forget she has never used one before. This week , Lindsey is the Calendar helper.

Pool Fun/ Puppy Fun

Our Last day to enjoy the Hamilton pool. Lindsey, Morgan & Megan had a blast jumping off the diving board and just running around the pool. Megan was extra sweet to Lindsey and let her borrow her extra pair of googles. The girls loved eating their ice cream sandwich, ring pop and before we left a snickers. What can I say, i am a sucker and let them have lots of snacks on the last day the pool was open. Great day for all. I even had fun jumping off the diving board with the girls!!

Ended the evening with dinner at my mom's. Aunt Nancy, Aunt Karen were there also. Pa let the puppies out of their pen and the kids had so much fun playing with the puppies.

Kinnick Stadium Fun!

Grandpa and Me

Chad and Drew spent the day saturday in Ia City at Kinnick stadium watching the Hawkeyes practice. It was kids day. Grandpa Campbell, Uncle Jay and Hayden and Nile also went. Drew came back home talking about the hawkeyes... he gets daddies team mixed up with the hawkeyes. Too much football for my little guy,He thinks daddy coaches for the Hawkeyes, which would be okay if he got paid what they do! The Campbell Boys were excited to watch their former player #16 in the picture James Vandenberg.

Girls Day Out/ Boys Day Out

Our Last weekend before school starts, Lindsey, grandma and myself are going to eat Mexican and do the pool thing. Daddy and Drew are headed to Ia City to watch the hawks practice. I am excited to have the afternoon with just Lindsey and just enjoy her for the day while the boys have fun doing "boy things". Can't believe she is headed to school Monday, not real ready for the everyday getting up and ready but I will have to get use to it.
Definitely a relaxing day, I rode my bike ( lots of hills) and then to equal out that I baked. Ha doesn't make sense does it? I had an excuse to bake because I am teaching the preschoolers at church and they need it!!!

Kids went to doctor this week

Drew had his 2 year old well baby this week which turned out to be a long day. First of all he is growing like crazy.. 2 inches in 4 months. Wow, he is in the 92% for height and 75% or weight, who knows for head it's always big. Anyways, after our appointment we then had to get a lead test for preschool (2year old class) and a x-ray of his head. Dr. was concerned his soft spot was not closed, needless to say drew did great at the lead test, he didn't even cry when they poked him for blood. I am so proud. The xray however was of course draining for me!

Lindsey had her physical this week for school and of course that was on a different day then drew's well baby, so back to the dr again. All is well with her and it's funny because Lindsey and Drew are only 11.5 pounds apart. Crazy as she is 5 1/2 and he just turned 2!

I thought it would be fun to have pictures of kids with Mary Jo, so of course i brought my camera to the Dr.'s office twice for pictures!
